StumbleUpon

Today I stumbled upon StumbleUpon. So far I like it pretty well. However, I’m coming up with a few glitches. To get the right profile picture I’m having to click on photos that don’t fit, go back and try again. I’m now on photo number four and still no luck. Turns out I just needed to move on in the profile process. The photo was fine.

On StumbleUpon there are many interests you can stumble. Stumbling means you like it and follow it. Even though StumbleUpon leads you to websites that you can give a thumbs up or thumbs down to, you actually leave the site. On the left hand side there’s a little Stumble button and the thumbs you can click. When you press Stumble you are transferred to the next Stumble in their queue. I chose Alternative Medicine and there are tons of articles, videos, and other information I can access. I admit, it gets a little overwhelming. I could click on each of my interests all day long and learn a lot, but not get a whole lot more done!

It is also a social network and friends you have from email lists, Twitter, Facebook and other social networks can be your friends here on StumbleUpon and you can follow their interests, too. I like this aspect because as they explore particular interest websites, they may weed through some I may not like. They do the work for me!

On each of the webpages I accessed, there are paid ads that are unobtrusive, but certainly there is an opportunity to market through StumbleUpon.

In my quest for the ultimate cheap, cute earrings, not only did I find some serious $5.00 deals that I am planning on snapping up, there are tons of DIY sites on how to make your own cute earrings. I may just attempt this.

I like StumbleUpon and it has enough diverse interests that I can see that not only is it a fun site, it is really helpful. I plan on spending some time here. It looks intriguing.

3 Ways to Make Your Marketing Budget Go Further

Everyone is tightening their proverbial belts right now, and the world of business is no exception. With budgets being cut, many companies are finding that day-to-day business is struggling to cope on a shoestring.

This shouldn’t however, mean that your existing marketing campaigns should suffer. Even with the tightest of financial restraints, it is possible to make your marketing budget go that little bit further. Here are three ways you can make the most of your finances:

Concentrate on Online

Smaller businesses on even smaller budgets would do well to focus their marketing efforts online during difficult economic times. Social media marketing, guest blogging and article marketing are all effective and affordable marketing techniques that won’t blow the budget.

If you outsource your marketing, consider asking them to cut back on services and take the reins yourself if possible. You could also lower your Pay-Per-Click (PPC) budget or cut back on costly Facebook advertisements until your return on investment (ROI) lets your increase these budgets again.

Alternatively if you’re having more success with these campaigns, cut back on your print and offline marketing campaigns. The costs of printing and distributing may be more costly and leave a dent in your budget, for little ROI.

Hire Don’t Buy

When money was less of a concern, businesses would often think little of purchasing an elaborate exhibition stand for a tradeshow. However with tighter budgets, hiring an exhibition stand may be a more cost effective solution.

This is also applicable to other aspects of marketing. Before paying an annual subscription for a piece of software or an online service, make the most of free trials to see what works best for you. You should also make the most of free ebooks and downloads rather than paid-for services while budgets are tighter.

Buy hiring and making the most of freebies and special offers, you can actively make your budget go that little bit further. It’s also a good idea to speak to your suppliers and ask about special deals and lowering prices if possible.

Plan in Advance

One of the easiest ways to make your marketing, or indeed any budget go further is advanced planning. If you spend time actively anticipating your outgoings for the next month or quarter, you can help spread your budget more evenly.

This will also help you plan how to spend what’s left. Savvy businesses will understand the importance of saving some of their budget ‘just in case’ and putting the rest to good use. As your income increases, so in turn should your budget.

Running a business on a budget doesn’t have to mean cutting back on the important things. Spending time carefully organising your finances and monitoring your outgoings can help you to make the most of even the smallest budgets.

RB Design and Display is the ideal place to purchase exhibition stands for your next tradeshow experience.

Best Practices To Increase Blog Traffic

When you have a blog you would certainly want other people to read it, right? The more the merrier as they always say. Of course not unless you want to keep your blog private and just for yourself or a select number of friends and families then that would be a different matter. What you need is to know how to increase blog traffic right away.

I will be honest with you. It is not an easy thing to do to have an instant hit of a blog and expect tons of comments from hundreds of people visiting your site. Because it is not easy to get that much people to find and notice your blog. Well, I said it is not easy but certainly not impossible because there are certain things that you can do to bring people to your blog.

And here are just a few of the effective things that you can try to help increase blog traffic today.

First things first, people will not read your blog and recommend it to their friends if they think your blog posts are not worth reading. That is why you should first improve your writing so that it can be as appealing as possible to your readers. Every post should be worth every person’s time. Make sure that they gain something new when they are done reading your post otherwise it will be such a boring thing to do to go through the whole blog itself.

You need to do some on page optimization especially if your goal is to offer a link wheel service. This is a basic search engine optimization process and it involves knowing what your keywords are and placing them in the right places in your blog posts. The most important placement would be in the title of your blog. For example if your keyword is ‘dog training’ then you can write your title like this: ‘Want To Learn Basic Dog Training?’. That will not only be attractive to your human readers but also for the search spiders which can help you get targeted traffic.

You should also promote your blog through the social media. You can use sites or services such as Facebook, Twitter, social bookmarking sites, and forums. The key way to do it is to be active on each of these social media websites and contribute quality content so that people will always be looking forward to your next posts. Then each time you have a new post on your own blog, promote it on these social websites by mentioning what it is about (keep it short but informative) and then drop a link to the actual blog post.

Finally, you can try video marketing. Create some videos related to the topics of your blog and then upload them to the top video sharing websites like Facebook and Vimeo. This way you will be exposing your content to as many places as possible.

So there you go. These are just some of the top ways that you can do to increase blog traffic. Focus on one of the methods mentioned above and when you have mastered it then move on to the next. These are crucial especially if you are into SEO services.

5 Killer Internet Small Business Success Factors

If you are an internet small business newbie, what does the term success mean to you? How do you see your internet small business? Have you underestimated your own abilities? Have you seen your internet small business to be a small one for ever?

The most successful internet marketers say, that the success is extremely simple. You just have to believe to become successful and to put yourself into the fire. The rest just comes automatically as the results of this attitude.

1. Identify, What You Are Doing.

Have you ever thought, why you want to have an internet business? Have you realistic skills and know how for the marketing or do you just started, because your friend told, that he has a very successful online business, which goes almost automatically?

Your plan just have to be based on the realistic key things. You have to know the product and you must have enough time to invest into the marketing. The internet marketing is time consuming. When you know the product, the target group and the main competitors, your frame is there.

2. Benchmark Others.

The Internet is a demanding market, because it is so easy to compare the offers. If some marketer does not know the details, it is a sign of an amateur. Before you will publish your site or blog study enough. All the information is available for free.

3. Have You Identified The Niche?

Every single niche has its own nature, a way how the marketers speak there. It is important to use the same terms and the same copy style, but to do it personally. Otherwise you are not seen as a team member, which will make the marketing difficult.

4. Do You Know Your Own Strengths?

Every single person is weak in some things and strong in some things. The marketer does it wisely, if he has a strong feeling about his own strengths. These features are his real success features.

5. What Actually Runs Your Business?

Is it your template or your copy strategy? Is it your activity or your skill to pick the links? None of these. The real success factor is your mind, which is used by your attitude. The question is about the strength of your mind. The success has nothing to do with the amount of the information you have, because we all have the access to the information needed.

Today in many internet small business niches the big companies market their products and services. That is not a problem for a small business entrepreneur, because these big corporations are not interested about the small niches. And there are a lot of prospects, who do not want to buy from the big companies.

5 Facts, Why Internet Home Businesses Require An Attitude

The Internet offers many home businesses from the different business areas. When a newbie ponders, which would fit to him, the key thing is the experience, which he has. It is of course possible to learn new home businesses, but it is always better to use the earlier skills. And it is wiser, because the learning will be shorter.

1. What Is The Difference Between The Work And Business.

This difference is not always clear. Let me explain. If you have a day job, your boss will tell you what to do. That is the work. But when you are an entrepreneur, you have to invent the job for yourself. If you have no ideas, you have no job. That is the business.

This difference is fundamental. The nature of the business is much harder, but it offers also bigger freedom to do, what you feel is right. We can say, that the entrepreneur must be more creative and more motivated. However, many day job workers work like entrepreneurs.

2. What Does The Business Mean?

Why do we have companies and entrepreneurs? The simple answer is, that they satisfy the needs of the people. They create products and services, which they offer to the target groups. Because the competition is tough, those companies will do well, which can serve their customers best.

Now when you think, whether you would start to run internet home businesses, you must have and idea about the target group, their needs and your skills to satisfy those needs. That sounds complicated, but is not necessarily. Many businessmen are more artists than the businesssmen.

3. Is A Business An Art Or A Technique?

If you think it is a technique, that is not totally wrong. With the technique I mean the marketing campaign plans, which must guarantee, that we reach the target group in the right surroundings. But the content of the marketing material, called the advertising, is still the most important thing. That needs the creativity.

4. Is It Wise To Give Up?

To become a successful internet marketer means, that you must have a winners attitude. That means, that you will never give up. Those, who will give up will lose everything. Those, who try to win the obstacles will be the winners, because to win an obstacle means the best learning we can imagine.

5. What Is The Correct Attitude?

The correct attitude means, that the entrepreneur continues the business whatever happens. He is willing to learn, but he will never admit, that now he lost. The marketing builds winners, who are committed to serve their customers in the best way. They are in the business to make it even bigger. Do you have, what it takes to become a successful internet marketer?

Getting Ahead With Internet Marketing

One of the indispensable forces that companies have today is the internet. The internet is now the primary way that people search for information and services, and it is constantly rising in prominence.

As such, there is a huge potential to reach people with the internet, and to demonstrate to them what a company or organization has to offer. Whereas companies used to be limited in influence to their immediate area, the internet allows for them to reach out to the world and contact many other people.

The ability to reach diverse groups of people is the primary strength of the internet. Therefore, businesses can utilize it to grow and increase their total amount of business that is done.

While the internet is a powerful tool that can allow for organizations to spread out and reach many people with their services, it also is a very competitive place to be. Since the web has become such a lucrative way for people to make money, there is a highly competitive aspect at work.

In order for organizations to be successful online, they need to have a few factors working for them. To begin with, they need to have a professional website at their disposal.

Good websites are now expected form any web organization. Websites act almost as a greeting card for the modern age, because they create an immediate impression on whoever is viewing.

As such, websites need to clearly state what the objective of a company is, and show their services and products, along with their information. Websites act as the first line of a company’s presence online.

Reputation is also a highly important factor that needs to be considered. Since there is such a proliferation of technology available to people today, there is also a greater amount of information available than there ever was before.

People have the option to immediately look up an organization that they are interested in, and that will give them access to the overall reputation that the organization has online. Having a clean and fair reputation is very excited.

Reputation combined with professionalism is expected from companies that want to do well online. Ranking in search results is also a critical factor in play in this context.

The rank for a website refers to where they place that they score on search engines. This rank is critical to success, because of the symbolism involved in the place and the browsing habits that people have.

The first page of results is generally thought of as being the most legitimate in nature, and they have the best overall services to bring to the table. Their prominence in the results gives them prestige, so to speak.

Additionally, most people do not bother to go beyond the first page of results. They have an immediate supply of information that is available, and they want to carry on with their browsing as soon as is possible.

Therefore, getting up to the top page in the rankings is very important. People will search for very specific goods or services that they want to pay for, so knowing where to fall in this hierarchy is very important in nature.

Marketing effectively will make a large difference in how effective a company is. By making things as streamlined as possible and providing information and links back to the website online, the overall popularity and traffic that a site enjoys can increase.

The first page of results gets the lion’s share of the traffic, and the highest ranked ones have the better conversion ranks. Therefore, it is well worth it for an organization to carefully work to increase their standing and presence over time.

Internet marketing solutions can play a large role in how successful an organization is. If a marketing firm is contracted to create and maintain an online presence, then it takes the pressures off of the proprietors of a website to do so.

Internet marketing is by far the best way to make an impact over the internet and grow profits related to website activity. By making a website viable and high in rank, there is a much greater chance that it will be found and used for its intended purpose.

Understanding the Impact of Social Media

Social media is one of the most powerful forces on the internet. The ability to immediately interact with other people in an online context is a great way to effectively make connections.

Along with being an effective tool for building personal connections, social media can also be utilized in a business context. Most people who have online access have an account of some kind.

These accounts allow them to interact with other people and essentially promote themselves online. When people set up accounts, they end up interacting with the virtual world in a way that is unique to them.

People that spend time on the internet bring with them a hoist of marketing information, because everyone has likes and dislikes for a certain reasons. Being able to tap into the available information is a great way for companies to connect with their customers.

Within the realms of social media, there is every possible demographic, who are easily reached and polled and questioned. Companies can therefore utilize the immense amounts of information to identify how they want to market themselves.

Additionally, social media allows companies to connect with their customers in ways never before done. In every other case, a company usually will interact with customers in a far more impersonal way.

Being able to connect with a company or product that someone likes adds a personal tough to companies, and allows them, to reach a greater overall consumer base. Whereas in the past organizations were limited to their immediate area, they now have the ability to potentially connect with audience anywhere in the world

This expanded set of abilities is something that companies can take advantage of. By using online tools effectively, they can grow their online presence and connect with many people in a short amount of time.

Social media has several advantages for organizations that take advantage of it. The first of these advantages is in the ease of use that comes along with using existing sites to increase online presence.

Sites like Facebook and Twitter are already established and thriving. Being able to utilize successful sites for online promotion is something new that can be very lucrative.

Between all of the major sites, there are hundreds of millions of people that are browsing the internet and can be reached. Having ads in place in these spaces allows for a large scale amount of exposure, which can amplify the overall effectiveness of ads in creating traffic.

Another advantage to using social media is that it is popular. Even though it is now so mainstream it is a part of cultural identity, these sites are trendy and very well received as a whole.

Being able to utilize their presence to expand that of an organization is an immense advantage. Along with the sheer amount of exposure that arises from such a presence, organizations can also piggyback on the success of other sites in order to achieve a result.

Additionally, social media can be utilized to connect with customers in very personal or exciting ways. For example, a company may feature people found on the internet in a marketing campaign, or they might offer promotional deals for loyal customers.

A popular tactic is to offer deals to people that follow an organization on popular sites. By following the organization, its online presence is expanded while its customer focus is elevated sufficiently.

All of these factors make using the internet to grow business a viable and lucrative way to increase traffic to a website. If people can make a real effort to connect with their customer online, they can build enough good will to effectively create loyalty and recognition in other spheres of influence.

If companies do not have the skill sets to work with their social media assets effectively, they may want to consider contracting out for their social media marketing services. By having a dedicated team of professionals there to work for a company, they can focus on doing their work while increasing their online presence.

Social media is a powerful force that can make companies and websites more successful in nature. By integrating these elements into online marketing, companies can effectively increase their flow of traffic and their customer loyalty.

Website Traffic Tips For Online Business Owners And Marketers

The very first thing you’ll need in order to improve your sales is to get more web traffic. Now, how can you do this? There are actually web marketing strategies, or website traffic tips, that you can utilize if you wish to boost site traffic, increase customers, and generate higher amounts of sales. This article focuses on those techniques that work more often than not for most marketers and business owners.

1. Join related forums and post in them.

Forum posting is one of the easiest techniques and usually works if you:

A. Post in the appropriate forums

B. Give relevant answers to niche related questions

C. Include your website link in your signature (if allowed by the forums)

You can improve your sales if you create accounts with forums that have subjects or topics related to your niche, interact with other forum members, and answer questions or inquiries relevant to your actual niche, and add your site’s link to your signature. By building a good reputation in the forums, other members and even people who are non members who read forums will consider you an expert and would want to visit your site, helping you get more web traffic. Proper posting in forums at least once a month is one of the website traffic tips that are worth performing.

2. Write articles connected to the niche and post them in article websites.

Part of the list of web marketing strategies that can improve your sales is article marketing. This actually refers to the process of creating quality articles that are related to your product, service, or niche, and then, submitting them to various writing directories and article sites for publication. You have to insert the right keywords within the content and then add one or two links to your site in the author resource field. This technique has been around for a long time compared to other strategies, and this can really aid you in your mission to get more web traffic if done correctly.

3. Rely on social networks for site, product and service, and business promotion.

Social networking is now included in website traffic tips or web marketing strategies that can improve your sales. We all know that almost everyone have social network pages e.g. Facebook accounts, Twitter pages, and the like, and a lot of people spend a lot of time on those websites.

You can take advantage of that fact if you’re an affiliate marketer or Internet biz owner by creating a page about your business, and then, posting promotional information, product photos and descriptions, customer reviews, and so on, on your social network pages, in order to get more web traffic. Of course, you should have a lot of friends, acquaintances, etc, added in your list and allow the friends, family members, and acquaintances of your friends to view your page.

There are other web marketing strategies and website traffic tips that can also improve your sales and your traffic like: posting relevant and interesting content; keeping your website content updated at least once or twice a month; bookmarking your website; and many more.

Sometimes Customers Aren’t Worth Serving

The Pareto principle is referenced in various fields, but is most simply expressed as the 80-20 rule. For example, 80 percent of the work is done by 20 percent of the people or 80 percent of the problems are caused by 20 percent of the people.

When it comes to customer service, especially if your business is based on having long-standing customer relationships, you may find that 80 percent of the complaints come from 20 percent of your customers. Most of your customers are satisfied, and may have an issue from time to time, but all in all your relationship is just as it should be.

However, for the other 20 percent, they are continually late in payments or asking for discounts or complaining about something.

First and foremost, you need to treat all of these complaints and issues as you would any other complaint or issue. Customer service is one of the most important aspects of a business and poor customer service can submarine your whole company. However, if there is a customer or two – part of this 20 percent – who are causing more strain and frustration, costing more money, and demanding more time than they’re worth, it may be time to end the relationship.

Sprint did this very thing a few years ago, dropping about 1,000 customers – customers who continually called in with problems and monopolized the company’s customer services – and it seemed to pay off. While they lost some revenue from those customers, on the whole they likely gained back that money (and more) by being able to increase their efficiency (let alone getting rid of the mental and emotional toll of those specific frustrations).

Ending a relationship with a customer should be an absolute last resort; it shouldn’t be done rashly. If appropriate, contracts should be cancelled and refunds should be issued. Hopefully, the breakup can be done civilly and amicably – allowing everyone to move on respectfully.

Properties For Sale By Tweet

One of the best ways to connect with people is social media or through social networking sites. It is a very effective means to interact or reconnect with friends, relatives, or make virtual friendships online because of shared interests. Not only ideas, activities, events, and interests are shared within the online community, social networking sites can help users find a job, set up business contacts, meet people online that could be potential clients, or market real estate properties like Homes for Sale in Rosamond CA.

Most real estate agents integrate social networking sites into their marketing plans. Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube are just among the top social networking sites that are popular in the real estate world. These sites have been one of the fastest methods of marketing real estate business. A real estate pro could begin with tweeting his/her new listing on Twitter, and then add to his/her Facebook account. After that, s/he could talk about his/her new listing on LinkedIn and then post a video about the Real Estate in Buckeye AZ, for example, on YouTube.

Among the mentioned social networking sites, it’s amazing to know that a new listing can be efficiently marketed with only 140 characters which is just like an SMS message. Now, this is Twitter – a social networking and micro blogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as tweets that are text-based posts of up to 140 characters displayed on the author’s profile page and delivered to the author’s subscribers who are known as followers.

Twitter might look so simple but it has taken real estate by storm and has evolved into a very powerful marketing tool. It’s the niche/geo targeting ability of Twitter that makes it really popular to real estate agents who are aiming for a large number of prospective clients. It all boils down to having more friends that makes the view of success clearer. Nevertheless, having too many friends is useless if it doesn’t target specific people. In other words, a real estate pro must have friends or followers living in the area where his/her property is located.

In order to maximize exposure of your properties, tweet your new listings to targeted prospects or by finding friends in your local area. So if you are selling homes for sale in Florida, you have to have friends living in Florida because these people are more likely to be the ones who will be interested in buying your homes. How about befriending another real estate? This is where networking starts – when agents refer their clients to other agents. You can use specific keywords like ‘real estate’, ‘real estate agents’, ‘home buying’, and so on when you search for specific people.

Since Twitter works just like the old saying “Out of sight, out of mind”, ‘tweet’ at least once a day with something very useful to other people and at the same time interesting and specific to real estate.
